A popular south Indian sweet dish made from semolina is mainly prepared for breakfast or during festival feast and unexpected guest. It is known with several other names like sooji kesari, sooji halwa, sheera or semolina kesari.

    This Rava Kesari is Made with very simple ingredients available in our home. Rava, Sugar and ghee is the main Ingredients. This kesari looks very delicious and topped up with dry fruits and nuts like raisins and cashew. Adding food color is completely optional. It gives extra attract to the dish.

    Heat 2 Tbsp Ghee fry cashew nuts and Raisins till light brown.

    Add Rava/Sooji fry for about 5-7 mins with medium heat till very very light brown.

    Add Boiled Water to fried sooji/rava mix well, then add food color(optional) diluted with 1 tsp water

    Mix well and cook for 3 mins

    Add Sugar, mix well continuously, then add cardamom powder and 4 Tbsp clarified butter.

    Now Mix well close and cook for 2 min at low flame.

    Now Tasty Rava/Sooji Kesari is Ready.
